Students, families and faculty at the Middle School of Plainville came together in October for a night of fun and creativity at MSP’s “Paint Night” event. Art teacher Laura Meehan created step-by-step painting demonstrations for the group of painters to follow along. The participants created beautiful canvas paintings of fall pumpkins. The event was a fundraiser for the school’s Parent Teacher Club.

More than 100 colleges, universities and technical schools, together with several branches of the military, the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, the Main Street Community Foundation, and CHESLA ( Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority) were in attendance at the Plainville High School College Fair held on October 25th. The College Fair is coordinated by the high school's School Counseling Department.

PHS Hosts Celebration for Seniors Who Will Play Collegiate Athletics

The event was organized by Plainville Community Schools’ Athletic Director Chris Farrell. “The student athletes from the Class of 2019 are just remarkable,” said Farrell.

Jets High School Marketing and Business Event

Plainville High School students in the Marketing and Entrepreneurship classes recently attended the Jets High School Marketing and Business Day event with faculty members Trevira Boatright and Steven Michaud at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The group received a behind the scenes tour of the facility, learned about the transition of changing the stadium from one team to the other for the Jets and Giants, and attended multiple workshops focused on marketing, accounting, and broadcasting.
