Students in Mark Chase’s Transportation Technology course at Plainville High School have been assisting the school district's Facilities Department by tuning up several of the snow throwers used throughout the school district in town. Students worked in teams to inspect service and replace those parts that were worn or no longer functioning properly. “This is a great learning experience for our students. They are able to apply what has been learned about mechanics, power and energy toward a practical application. It is also an opportunity for students to give back some of the knowledge and skills they have acquired in the class,” said Chase.
